Here it is the day I brought it home on June 2, 2007. Got it for $2000 from a guy in Griffin.

Here's the 350 to 383 in all its glory

And you know it couldn't sit around long without me messing with it. Later that day we started to rip out the interior in preparation for herculiner.

FALL 07

During this time, the blazer sat by the barn at my house while I was at school and could not do anything to the blazer or even really drive it for that matter.
While I was home for Christmas break, I took it in for paint, and this past weekend, January 11-12, 2008, I went home to find it back from paint and ready to put back together:

Me and Lizzy (mostly Lizzy, to be honest) put the bumpers and mirrors back on. ...see wrench in lizzy's hand

Me and my dad put the top back on. You can kindof see my top removal-storage system in this picture.

Now its headed to the mechanic to get a new Holley Truck Avenger carburetor put on and to be tuned up. I will update periodically with pics.

Looking sweet! Is it just my computer, or did you get it painted with bedliner material?
Edit: DOH! I am an idiot! : ) I just noticed your sig line. That's cool! Looks great!

Don't adjust your screen. :D It is, in deed, truck bed liner material. Duraback to be specific.

Sweet! That's a cool idea! I bet it'll hold up better against the usual brush pinstriping than regular paint (I had a good bit of that kind of pinstriping on my Jeep). : ) I like it!
Looked again at the old vs. new, what was the original paint on the hood? Looks like there was a third color up there? Oh, and BTW, good deal getting that truck for $2000! Dang, that's a sweet truck, and it's getting sweeter, good job!

oh the infamous hood design... your guess is as good as mine as to what exactly that creature is. one of the previous owners was a tatoo/airbrush artist

Looking good what was the cost of having it sprayed with the bedliner?
Calvin4186
01-13-2008, 11:46 PM
well i bought the paint and that was like 129/gallon (3 gallons)+ shipping= about 400 @ http://www.nonslipcoating.com/
I got my brothers-girlfriend's-dad to spray it at his paint shop, and he hooked me up, so I can't really get you a realworld price on the labor.

Well, during the time I've been waiting to get the Jimmy up here to school, I've had some time to think about what I want to do once I get it here.:D Here is the list of things I'd like to do (I think it helps to achieve things if you make a checklist) any way here goes.
1. Lock-rites Front and Rear
2. Rear shackle flip/springs
3. Rockrails/sliders
4. Fog/Backup/Interior/Bed Lights
5. Front tow points (like badarse)
6. Ammo Box Consoles (got the boxes)
7. CB Radio/ Antenna etc.
8. Waterproof speaker amp housing
9. Some kind of toolbox/storage
10. Hi-Lift Mount (have the jack)
11. New Windshield
12. Fuse board/Switch Plate for lights etc.
13. Onboard Air
14. Spare Tire
1&2 will be first order of business when I get it up here. The rest of the list is in no order really.

I got the itch to start building something today, so I went on a little shopping trip this afternoon.
http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t170/calvin4186/DSC04060.jpg
I wanted to make a center console out of a couple of ammo boxes. One will be just a console box to keep odds and ends in. One of them will contain my CB as well as a switch panel for lights, etc. I figured that that one will get a little warm in there, so I decided to add a small fan to circulate air and cool it down. Seeing as I don't have the CB, switches, or the Jimmy up here yet, all I got done was putting the fan in.
Oh yea... this was my first time using the cutter...ever.

And until i can get a grill to go on here, this is what the outside looks like.

What is the power requirements for it?
I don't really have any experience with CPU power but if ti can run off of 110/120AC then you might have to find a AC-DC converter to install in your truck IOT run the fan. Then you wil also have a source to charge computers or etc from your vehicle.

Internal PC fans are 12v dc 1-3 amps any more and it will fry.

Click on edit, then go advanced and you can change the title from there. If you can't figure it out, PM a mod with a new title you want and we can change it for you.
