Are there any rules/laws in Tellico about a vehicle being street legal and insured? I've only been once, back in '05, and have heard lately a lot of tickets/citation are being wrote. I am wondering if they are writing people up, coming from Crawfords and up Davis creek for not being street legal. And if so, is it rangers or is it local police?

I'm planning on going down in mid Sept and I'd hate to get ticketed for something I might not be aware of.

Only if you're on a State owned highway......IE; the road from Crawfords Campground to the ORA, dirt or paved. Though I've never seen a NCSP or County Mountie on the way there or back or while fishing Davis Creek.............or, Tennessee is supposed to be strict on unloading a carhauler on their dirt road and driving to the ORA.
If ya unload at the actual entrance,(where the pay box and toilets are, you're kool!

Thanks for the reply Dontoe. A few of us from AORC (Appalachian Off Road Club) will be rolling in on Sept 13 and spending the weekend. If anybodys down that weekend give us a shout, we'll be in one of the last cabins up Davis Creek.
