I have a jackmate made by maarsdam, and like it. Of course, I have only used it once on some old dudes truck when his tire came off of the rim.

not to familar with that attachment. Do not see the huge benefit, but also I do not see why hi lift even describes clamping wood. The looks so silly in their instructions.

With my winch inop, the flat tire wedged against the mud bank, Gotlabs used his highlift jack and chain to "winch" my truck sideways away from the mudbank and hold it there while I used my highlift to jack up the truck.

You can use any highlift jack to spread or clamp.........

I know that but it is silly how they have it in their instructions. Have you seen it. It is a guy with a bed of a truck open in the middle of nowhere. He is clamping about 2.5' of wood togethor. I just think to myself hmmmm. How should I clamp this. Get a 15 to 20 bar clamp or use my 90 dollar hi lift jack.

I am about to order a Highlift jack. Would a 48" be enough, or should I go ahead and get the 60" one? Any suggestions?

Go ahead and go with the 60". you will quickly outgrow the 48" with more lift and tires. Plus it gives you a little longer to winch with if needed.

I have used some 48" with old Mercedes FAV ad were okay with them. Use to carry my 60" wherever I went.
